Melanie is a 42 year-old CVICU (cardiovascular intensive care unit) nurse manager. Her wellness goal is to improve her cholesterol, lose weight and enrich her overall health. Melanie is like so many others; she has dieted her whole life. About 10 years ago, she started gaining weight every year. She is a mother to two teenage boys, who are demanding of her time. She’s in school one night a week, and taking an online class. She works more than 10 hours a day.
